VESTIGES/trinitas

Sept. 1 – Oct. 7

Opening Reception with Gallery Talk: Thursday, Sept. 1, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery

Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts

Featuring the works of present and past New Orleans artists, including Jan Gilbert, Debra Howell, Kristen Beazley, Frank Aymami, Brian Nolan, Rontherin Ratliff and others.

After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005, many local artists were unable to return to their homes and studios. “Trinitas” brings together displaced New Orleans artists with members of their former community in a large-scale, wetlands-inspired wall installation assembled as the result of an international call for submissions initiated and configured by artists Jan Gilbert and Debra Howell of The VESTIGES Project of New Orleans.

Admission: Free (no ticket required)
