1st Annual Freedom Readers Dinner and Silent Auction

Freedom Readers is a nonprofit organization that was established to improve reading skills in low wealth communities by providing one-to-one literacy tutoring, free books for home libraries, and an inspiring, high-energy learning environment. The organization connects people through a comprehensive program that offers individuals opportunities to improve academic performance and career prospects in order to allieviate poverty. They promote a love of reading and development of the skills, tools, habits, and characteristics needed to become good readers.

 

Freedom Readers will be holding their 1st Annual Fundraising Event – Dinner and Silent Auction on Monday, April 23rd at 6:30pm. The event will be held at the Rivertown Bistro located at 1111 3rd Ave Conway, SC 29526. The Leadership Conway Class of 2012 is currently selling tickets for this event in the amount of $50 per ticket. Your ticket will include a soup or salad, choice of entree (Ribeye or Snapper), dessert, and choice of an alchoholic beverage. Fifty percent of the ticket price will serve as a donation to Freedom Readers to assist their efforts in the community.
