Ribbon Cutting for HTC’s Conway-501 Store

About the Grand Opening Event:

On Thursday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., HTC will host Grand Opening festivities and a Green Fair event to celebrate the opening of the new store.  The event will begin with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. assisted by the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce.  Then, a “green” themed celebration will kick-off immediately following with refreshments, promotions, and gifts for all in attendance. 

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy FREE lunch, live entertainment by local musicians plus appearances from McGruff, “the crime dog”, and Splash, the Myrtle Beach Pelican’s mascot.  Festivities will continue throughout the day until 2 p.m. with food, registration to win prizes, and product specials including free wireless activations, 20% off accessories and unlimited calling plans.  Guests will also have the opportunity to register to win an array of prizes including a home security system, a $250 Home Shopping Network gift card, Brookgreen Garden tickets, Long Bay Symphony Tickets, and much more.

“We are very pleased with our newest retail location on Highway 501 in Conway, and trust our customers will enjoy the conveniences and features of this ultramodern facility.  Customers and visitors can stay connected to their lives and businesses with complimentary Wi-Fi and get hands on experience with HTC products and services at the wireless communications and tablet computer live bars and home technology demonstration areas,” said Tom Vitt, HTC Director of Marketing. 

The facility is a full-service source for telecommunications and entertainment services with more than 4,000 square feet of retail space that showcases interactive product displays including multiple live bars for wireless products: HTC Wireless phones, smartphones and tablets; HTC Digital Cable Whole-Home DVR; HTC Security systems and more.  The facility also features a two-room live interactive demonstration of how all HTC products can work in a home or business.  Those that visit the new store can also take advantage of the Internet lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi available. 

The store has extended hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All Media are encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting on Thursday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. 

In addition to grand opening activities, HTC, along with other environmentally savvy companies such as Santee Cooper, will present educational programs and provide information about green initiatives at this special event.

Visitors will be able to:

• Drop off old telephone directories and cell phones for recycling and receive coupons for a

FREE Frosty from Wendy’s, FREE mini-golf and Par 3 from B&C, and a FREE soda from Auntie Anne’s,

• Visit booths set up by recycling partners and other organizations to learn about green initiatives, and
• Drop off sensitive documents for FREE onsite shredding by Cintas

“HTC cares about the environment and is taking action to lessen its environmental impact through several new and existing initiatives directory and cell phone recycling, recycling bin usage and paper bags,” continued Vitt.  “The purpose of the Green Fair is to encourage recycling and promote green initiatives that are easy to implement in any home or office.”
