WELOME TO OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome to our Board of Directors seven new members. A special welcome goes out to Harry Pinner, The Moore Farm House Bed & Breakfast; Tom Vitt, HTC; Robbie Jones, Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Conway; Barbara Streeter, Pop’s Glass Station; Diane Watson Gunnin, Coastal Carolina University; Jonea Boysen, Jonea Gene Consulting; Greg Richardson, City of Conway; and Angie Taylor, Service Master Disaster Restoration Solutions.
We will hold our Board of Directors retreat on Tuesday, September 12 and are currently reviewing methods by which to expand our services and our commitment to the community. The Divisional Vice Presidents will look at new ways to get committee members involved and committed, as well as ways to expand our festivals, programs, and membership services offered through Chamber membership. The divisional vice presidents include Jimmy Day, VP of Community Affairs; Harry Pinner, VP of Economic Development and Governmental Relations; Nicole Hyman, VP of Educational Affairs; Diane Watson Gunnin, VP of Membership Services; John Zilinsky, VP of Parliamentary Procedures; and Julie Rajotte, VP of Public Affairs. Each and every one welcomes your involvement and opinions of our Chamber events and activities. If you feel you have the time and desire to devote time to the growth of your community, please give us a call. We certainly want to include you and your fresh outlook.
As current President Alicia Harper of Burroughs & Chapin Company steps down from her reign at the end of October, Scott Sayre of Bridge Towne Real Estate will move up into her President’s seat. His officers include John Zilinsky, President-Elect; Clayton Mauldin, First Vice President; Janet Carter, Treasurer; and Beth Hughes, Secretary. Alicia Harper will continue to serve on our Board as Immediate Past President, where she will assist in guiding our Chamber into the future.
Additional committed Board members include Brandon Crick, Conway Cleaners; Sam Frink; Brenda Holt, Horry County Farm Bureau; Eleanor Justice, Holiday Inn Express; Jason Pippin, Carolina Southern Railroad; Melissa Downs-High, Beach First Bank; William Goldfinch, Goldfinch Funeral Services; Tom Brown, The Horry Independent; Charles Rhodes, Dantzler & Rhodes, PA; Bill Marsh, Palmetto Chevrolet; Shane Hubbard, Ray Realty; and Bonnie Hughes, Conway Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Ex-Officio members include Bill Holt, Chairman of our Past President’s Council, and Ashley Davies, Director of Conway Main Street USA.
