SASSY AND CLASSY

The question still stands—Have you experienced outstanding customer service as of late? Has someone gone out of his or her way to create an “experience” for you during your visit to a certain place of business?

Someone recently called me about the top-shelf customer service she received while visiting Sassy Girl, located at 1019 Fourth Avenue, Unit #101. Vicki Castle offers each person that graces her door at Sassy Girl a warm, friendly welcome with a splash of southern hospitality. Recently opened in September, Sassy Girl offers an array of sassy gifts, including an expansive line of Vera Bradley bags and accessories, Life Is Good apparel, and other items that tickle the senses of the female with attitude. I have visited before and have myself felt the connection and the feeling of “welcome” so it was easy to choose Vicki as our “Chamber Champion of the Heart” for February 8.

Vicki chooses the right attitude about her business. The ownership of Sassy Girl is about having fun and making others feel welcome when they stop in. She offers her guests a bottle of water or a cup of coffee, along with samples of fabulously delicious chocolate or chocolate covered sunflower seeds that she sells in the store. Shoppers are encouraged to try on the jewelry and pose in front of the store mirrors while trying on funky little reading glasses. Not only do you feel welcome, but you laugh and laugh and laugh, if not at Vicki, at yourself in those funky little glasses.

Vicki creates for her guests a shopping experience. She greets each shopper and offers a personal story about her items, whether it’s about going to market to select just the right things for her store or a reason why she prefers one color over the other. Not only do you learn about the products, you learn about Vicki. She sells herself, a piece of her soul, and immediately you want to do more business with her.

Vicki’s Sassy Girl is part of the Blackwater Market, which is also home to an array of other businesses including the Haberdashery, Herdashery, J’Moire Shoes, and California Pizza. Drop in and say hello and see for yourself why the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce considers Vicki one of its Champions.
