Conway Chamber Prepares For A Monumental 2007
January is the month to start afresh. The month for new beginnings and a renewed train of thought. With our 2007 Board of Directors in gear, the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce is ready to hit the ground running. You have no idea how excited I am about what 2007 can bring to Conway. We are certainly on the right track.
First and foremost, I’d like to say how pleased I am to sit on the newly formed Business Review Board with City of Conway staff and officials. Also represented are Conway Main Street USA, the city’s Community Appearance Board, Planning and Zoning, and the Planning Commission. The committee is currently working to review the concerns of our local business owners and to make the process of opening a business and retrieving a business license in Conway a pleasant one. If you’ve recently opened a business or presented in front of our Community Appearance Board and have concerns about the steps you were asked to take, please call me at the Chamber. I will gladly put your concerns on the table to be considered in a future meeting.
We’re also every excited about our new Member To Member Service Seminars that will come into full swing during 2007. The platform allows our Chamber members to present fresh business ideas to other Chamber members, using our Chamber Executive Boardroom if needed. For example, we may have someone present ideas on “How To Market On A Small Business Budget” or “The Power of Direct Mail” or perhaps “How To Make Media Relations Work For You”. If you’re interested in presenting a particular topic, please give us a call. We’d love to work you into the schedule.
As always, your success is our greatest accomplishment. We want you to thrive in 2007, so please let us know if we can be of assistance to you and your staff. We offer a number of Chamber membership benefits, including a press release service. If you have newsworthy items that should be promoted to the public, let us know. We’ll help you craft a press release and then with your approval, we’ll distribute it to all of the local media at no additional expense to you. Additionally, we offer a member-to-member email database, as well as a fax service that directly targets our membership.
