ARE YOU RECEIVING THE BENEFITS OF BEING A CHAMBER MEMBER?
I get asked this question quite a bit: What does the Chamber do for me? It’s simple. Are you sure your company or organization is receiving all the benefits of Chamber membership? If so, I highly doubt you would ask. Look at the list below and check the benefits that you actually participate in. You may be surprised at the opportunities you are missing.
∑ I regularly submit Members News briefs and/or promote my organization in the Chamber’s newsletter, The Quill, which is distributed to over 900 contacts.
∑ I keep my business information current with the Chamber for their referral list. (Note: The Chamber will not refer non-members. If someone asks about a non-member business, they are informed that the business is not a member, therefore, we have no information regarding that business.)
∑ I promote my business by taking advantage of specialty advertising opportunities exclusive to Chamber members, such as advertising in the Chamber directory and the placement of flyers or display ads in the Chamber newsletter.
∑ I display my business cards in the Chamber office on the members-only business card display and fill it regularly.
∑ I network with my fellow Chamber members by attending the Annual Meeting, Chamber monthly mixers, the Salute to Education luncheon, and other Chamber events.
∑ I promote my business to visitors and residents by advertising in the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce Information Please! membership directory.
∑ I participate in Chamber committees.
∑ I display my Chamber membership decal and plaque where my customers can see it.
∑ I’ve showcased my business by hosting a monthly Business After Hours mixer.
∑ I have sponsored Chamber events throughout the year, including the Round The Fourth festival.
∑ I have checked into the Chamber’s True Blue insurance plan to see if I could be saving money.
∑ I’ve taken advantage of the Chamber hosting a grand opening or ribbon cutting ceremony for my business.
∑ I’ve taken advantage of the Chamber’s marketing relationships by utilizing its press release service.
∑ I have utilized the Chamber’s free notary services.
∑ I have informed the Chamber of my website address.
∑ I have purchased a banner ad on the Chamber’s website, which is reserved for Chamber members only.
∑ I have placed literature about my business at the Chamber for visitors to examine.
∑ I have taken advantage of the number of discounts offered through the Chamber’s Member-To-Member Discount Program.
∑ I do business as often as I can with other Chamber members.
∑ I encourage other businesses to participate and take advantage or the benefits of being a Conway Area Chamber of Commerce member.
Well, how did you do? Out of the items listed, to what extent are you taking advantage of your Chamber membership benefits and participating? Your Chamber membership cannot benefit your business without your participation.
