Gardeners love to share, and what better way to do so than by opening one’s gate to the public. On four very special days, over twenty venues will open their gates throughout South Carolina. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit the Palmetto State’s hidden jewels as well as the gardeners who create them. Grand or intimate, each garden has a lesson to teach. Come be inspired and join us as we Follow The Blooms across South Carolina.

March 24: Holly Hill, Santee, Allendale
Small towns and family farms with big style. These practical gardneners reinvent everything from old azaleas to syrup kettles. Even the lunch stop on Mustang Rd. offers ideas. While in Allendale, stroll MacKenzie, find hope in the Pink Garden, see a Robert Marvin designed town square, and purchase greens from a working community garden.

April 1: Start at the Avid Gardeners’ flower show, The Mystical Garden, visit a deer-tolerant yard, and hone your plant ID skills at the arboretum in Port Royal Plantation.

April 14: Conway
If you love history, Spanish moss-draped oaks and azaleas, this tour is for you. Six homes located in and near downtown Conway. First 75 visitors get a free shrub, courtesy of Southern Living Plant Collection.
- See walled gardens, woodland walks and 3-generation gardens
- Enjoy a garden on a bluff, a Bluebird trail and heritage camellias and azaleas
April 20: Bishopville, Lake City
Pearl Fryar’s world famous topiary garden in Bishopville is a “don’t miss”! Moore Farms Botanical Garden in Lake City is a cottage garden exploded out of bounds! Join us for the finale luncheon, cooking demo and book signing by Patricia Moore-Pastides.

Where do we meet to start the tour and where do we park? I am not familiar with Conway.
