Goals and Responsibilities:

The goal of the Public Affairs Committee is to create a greater awareness of Chamber activities and programs to the membership by sponsorship of the Annual Meeting and enhancement of the Chamber Quill; to promote Conway and Chamber member businesses by fostering relationships with the media; to support tourism and relocation efforts by developing brochures and publications.

The Public Affairs Division is responsible for:

• The quarterly publication of the Chamber newsletter, The Quill (One Sponsor per issue at $300, 8 business card size ads at $50 each, and two 1⁄2 page ads at $150)
• The Annual Meeting of the membership
• Promotion of Chamber activities and programs
• Advertising – both for Chamber festivals as well as the general advertising on Conway
• Marketing and Public Relations
• A representative appointed by the Chairman will serve as our representative on the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Advertising Committee, and a special Marketing Committee is appointed to oversee the expenditure of accommodations tax funds when received.
