Chamber Staff

Kelli S. James
Executive Vice President

Kelli joined the Conway Chamber staff in August 1997. She is a native Horryite having grown up in the Aynor area and graduating Aynor High School. She attended Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College. Kelli’s initial experience with Chamber work was with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber where she served as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Information Services. Following her tenure with the Myrtle Beach Chamber, she was employed with the Horry County Planning Department Street Addressing Office.

Kelli’s original position with the Conway Chamber was Assistant to the Executive Vice President. As her job duties expanded to include more administrative and financial responsibilities, she was promoted and her job title was upgraded to Vice President of Administration. She is responsible for all financial aspects of the not-for-profit organization including, accounts receivables, accounts payables, monthly financial statements, yearly audits, etc. Kelli also serves as staff liaison to many of the various division, program, and event volunteer committees.

Kelli is married to Lee James and has two children; a daughter Katie, and a son, Jordy.

Dee Ann Nesbit                                                                                                                                                                           Director of Marketing and Special Events

Dee Nesbit joined the Chamber staff in December of 2012.  Dee grew up in the Conway area and graduated from Conway High School. She attended Indiana State University, Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College.  Dee has numerous years of experience in retail and non–profit marketing, advertising, public relations, member recruitment and event planning.

Dee is no stranger to the working aspects of the Conway Chamber. She has served on the Conway Chamber Board of Directors and Executive Committee as Vice President of Public Affairs and is a graduate of Leadership Conway. In Addition to her previous volunteer positions with the Chamber, Dee was employed by the Chamber as a Festival Director through a grant by the S.C. Employment Workforce Program. Dee is glad to return “home” to her favorite job ever…working at the Conway Chamber.

Dee is married to Jim Nesbit and they have three children, Jake, Elizabeth, Josh and one grandson Everett.

Kate McRae
Membership Services Coordinator

Kate joined the Chamber staff in March of 2012. Kate is a Marion County native and grew up in Mullins. She graduated from Pee Dee Academy in 2007. Kate is a  May 2011 graduate of Clemson University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Media, and a minor in Food Science and Human Nutrition.

While at Clemson, Kate served as a web development intern for three years, maintaining and building websites for various university departments. After graduation, she worked as an AVID Coach at the HCS Early College High School housed on the campus of Horry Georgetown Technical College.
