Kelli S. James
Executive Vice President
Kelli joined the Conway Chamber staff in August 1997. She is a native Horryite having grown up in the Aynor area and graduating Aynor High School. She attended Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College. Kelli’s initial experience with Chamber work was with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber where she served as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Information Services. Following her tenure with the Myrtle Beach Chamber, she was employed with the Horry County Planning Department Street Addressing Office.
Kelli’s original position with the Conway Chamber was Assistant to the Executive Vice President. As her job duties expanded to include more administrative and financial responsibilities, she was promoted and her job title was upgraded to Vice President of Administration. She is responsible for all financial aspects of the not-for-profit organization including, accounts receivables, accounts payables, monthly financial statements, yearly audits, etc. Kelli also serves as staff liaison to many of the various division, program, and event volunteer committees.
Kelli is married to Lee James and has two children; a daughter Katie, and a son, Jordy.
Tammy Elvis joined the Conway Chamber staff in May 2014. She is also a native of Horry County, grew up in the Conway area, and graduated from Conway High School in 1977. She attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College before co-founding the Trestle Bakery and Café. She also went on to open River Rascals Togs and Toys in 1995. Tammy has held a variety of positions in her professional career including realtor, programs director, and now the Membership Development Director with the Conway Chamber of Commerce.
Tammy originally joined the Chamber when she opened her first restaurant in 1992. She began serving on the board of directors in 1997 and has served ever since. She is responsible for all the membership development aspects of the organization such as marketing, organizing ribbon cuttings, recruiting new members, and coordinating Business after Hours. Tammy also creates and manages different committees designed to further the interests of the Chamber.
Tammy is married to Kendall Elvis and has two children; a daughter McCall, a son, Brandon, and four grandchildren, all of whom still live, work, and play locally.
